Pomeroy Hall
College of Medicine, University of Vermont
Burlington, VT
The University of Vermont College of Medicine was originally housed at Pomeroy Hall, built in 1829 and now listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. Northern Architects designed and managed extensive renovations to the existing 9,500 square foot building, including complete restoration of the exterior architecture, to house the Department of Communication Sciences.
The completed project includes an 8,800 square foot addition and provides new classrooms, laboratories, office and testing facilities, and incorporated new mechanical, electrical, and structural systems. Construction was completed on time in Summer, 1997.
