Monroe Apartments

In May 1994, two apartment buildings on North Champlain Street burned to the ground. Cathedral Square Corporation purchased the proprieties and retained Northern Architects to design a new apartment building that would provide sixteen one-bedroom, affordable apartment units. The building was carefully designed to relate to the existing neighborhood buildings, both in scale and materials, and to re-establish the integrity of a major residential intersection in the old North End. The project was completed in 1996.
