The Community College of Vermont is the only College of the Vermont State Colleges without a central campus. CCV currently serves over 9,000 students per year at twelve learning centers around the state. Steady growth in both numbers of students and course offerings in the Burlington area required a new, permanent home for the Community College’s Chittenden County operations.

The new 65,000 square foot facility will provide 35 classrooms and space for 55 staff. Classroom facilities will include four science laboratories, four computer laboratories, three art studios and a library/media center. The presence of the City-owned protected wetland and nature trails on the adjacent property will give environmental science students an opportunity to conduct more hands-on, experiential learning and support other College classes.

Status: The project is currently under construction with a scheduled completion of February 2010, and is seeking LEED Silver Certification.
